EasyFind is just an awesome app that finds everything on my macbook and external drives including the things that Finder and Spotlight cannot find and it has saved me a lot of time.

I was sick of indexing issues with an external Drobo (on my server), actually spotlight would not see it - this immediately enabled me to search the drive. A life saver. Great App so far!

Spotlight has been the slowest piece of junk these past years. While Spotlights features improved, it became so slow to search a simple folder with 400 items. I came across this program and tried it. OMG, it’s light speed search! Thank you!

Sorry Apple, but EasyFind beats you in all points. EasyFind is really easy to use and can find all kind of files in all folders, external HD and … A big “thanks” to the developer from me.

The default Finder search didn’t show the item’s path, and this was recommended online. It did the job 100% like I wanted, and was very fast doing it. Will add this to my toolbox of good Mac tools. Much easier than doing a command line search with cryptic find parameters.

This didn’t accompish that task. Weird.

One of the best utilities you can “buy.” If you frequenly need to find files that Spotlight cannot, and don’t want to be bothered to learn the bejillion esoteric options to the find command line tool, this app is just for you. Get it!

EasyFind is a must have app when you are searching for files or folders. It is much more powerful than spotlight. You can also find invisible files or folders or you can search your library folder for files.

I can’t praise this free app enough !!!! Works light years better than spotlight and it’s free !!!! What more can I say ???

After searching for basically a year on and off in all my old drives, thumbdrives, online storage, and worst of all in my 12 TB NAS array for my misplaced 2014 IRS Tax Returns, fearing it had been accidentally deleted, I’d tried various solutions including of course Finder / Spotlight for OS-X without any luck. Now in desperation, after downloading this program (with great options for searching directories, files (and file content) and various other options to dig deep), after 30 mins or so - which due to multithreading managed to search literally hundreds of thousands (terabytes) of small files, then low and behold — there hiding many many folders deep was my Tax Returns - evidently had been drag n dropped into the wrong directory when saving them. One double click and she popped right open. Now I can process my Re-Fi and save hundreds per month. Might have missed my opportunity without this App. Thanks !!! Since I was in a hurry it was download and go for it, no time to go read a manual - so I can testify the GUI is pretty decent and very usable, pretty clean, and responsive. No complaints here, color me a Fanboy ! PS as for “Finder” and Spotlight — well, Apple you can do better. I presume they have things clamped down a bit to prevent users from “harming” themselves, but they then also need to make it possible in settings to take the training wheels off and do the type of searching that EasyFind is offering us. Til then, you should download this app if you really want to be able to dig deep into those long lost folders and files.
