I was trying to find a file on 3 external Firewire drives attached to my MacBook Pro. This utility found the file I was looking for. Way better than Spotlight. Saved me a lot of time and frustration. This is a great application that will always come in handy for me!

Thank you thank you thank you. At last I can search my thousands of Mac files just like I used to search my PC and not be overwhelmed by a bunch of irrelevant Spotlight junk. Thank you - did I already say that? I would happily have paid for this so I’m making a donation (if that’s possible).

It works very well. When I need to find a speciefic file I use this rather than spotlight. Sorry Apple

This app finds stuff in an instant. It really makes me wonder about Mac Finder. Finder is basically a useless piece of crap compared to this app. Really. This app shames Apple so bad, I can’t believe such an important and common feature is just left to languish. Something is wrong with the industry. Get this app, after using it, using Finder will be like pulling teeth.

I never take the time to rate an app but I agree with the others that have posted. You should charge for this, not much, dont get greedy but I would pay 4.99 for it in an instant. It just works and is super fast like all the other things we like about Macs :)

Found all kinds of files I couln’t find with Spotlight or Alfred. Don’t even use Spotlight anymore, just this.

Great software. My New WD My Cloud could not be indexed or searched with Spotlight. EasyFind did the job! OSX 10.11.3, MacBook Air, WD My Cloud 4TB

This just saved my bacon. For some reason Notebooks by Alfons Schmid (?) disappeared but was still on my hard drive. I had to open the app from the App store everytime I wanted to use it. EasyFind found it in some invisible area.

I want to chage Font Size in file list. Current font size is a little bit small for me. I want Big font.

Ottima app, minimale e funzionale proprio come piace a me. Funziona egregiamente ..un unico appunto, sarebbe perfetta se si potesse selezionare un percorso facendo drag & drop della cartella nell’area. NOTE TO DEVS: Please add the option to select a folder by dragging it into the searh field…it’s annoying to manually select the path browsing the folders one by one. It’s a great app! Keep it up, thanks!

Essential app for working with gazillions of files. Easy and Doesn’t crash - so far! Five Star!

EasyFind does what Finder’s search cannot. I gave it 4 stars because 4.5 is not an option. What would make this a 5-star in my book is if it would give options to search a specific Kind of file as Finder’s search dialog permits as an additional filter (such as Applications, Texts, Folder, Image, Movie,etc.). If they ever release an “EasyFind Pro” with those added features, I would be in line to buy it. This app rocks.

Everyone praises this search app for it being better than Spotlight. I don’t see any difference other than EasyFind being slower. Contrary to what it claims,the app DOES NOT search file contents. I tested it to find a word within a docx file, but no luck. Unreliable third-party app.

Dragging apps to the trash doesn’t remove the associated files, and I haven’t found an app yet that doesn’t leave something behind. Easy Find lets me find all those left over pieces after an app is “deleted” and I can get rid of them manually.

I signed into the App Store just so I could write this review. If you have a file ANYwhere on your computer, EasyFind will reveal it for you AND offer you file-management options!

I have been using EasyFind since 2012 when I started a new job with a company that was Mac based and was new to digital filing. The files were disorganized chaos with no naming rules and files were everywhere and not consistently named. Also at that time trying to use the Apple search feature was miserable. I have saved so much time with EasyFind by pointing it at a folder in Finder and letting it search. It brings me every file, tells me where it is located and lets me open the file or the containing folder, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I echo other’s sentiments - 10 stars!

Hey, you know how sometimes you’re looking for something, but you can’t remember whether it’s a file, a folder, an email, an application, or something on the web? No? Of course not, because that never happens. Which is why the Spotlight utility is so fundamentally idiotic - and getting worse with each OS release. This simple program cuts through Apple’s overly complex Spotlight and “Smart Folder” tools to instantly give you exactly what you’re looking for: files with the full path right there in the search list. I no longer have to go to a unix window to get what I want. I’ve had this program for a week and already don’t know how I lived without it.
